In the middle of May of 2019 I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and severe anxiety. Having never dealt with something like mental health before, I wasn't sure what to do or how to help myself. It took my worst day to make me realize that I needed help. I wanted to create A Storied Mind to talk about my struggles, successes, failures and my life. I want to advocate for those who might be struggling with the same thing and help them realize that they are not their illness and what is coming is going to be so much better than what has passed. The stigma behind mental illness makes it seem like it's not a big deal and it's "all in your head" But it's not.
